Central Espanol

Founded in 1905 by Spanish immigrants in Montevideo, Central Español FC embodies the city’s rich football tradition. The club’s Estadio Parque Palermo, nestled in the Palermo neighborhood, has been its home since 1912. Though it has spent most of its history in the second division, Central Español earned promotion to Uruguay’s top flight in the 1990s.
