Founded in 1968 as "Tractor" in the northern Kazakh city of Petropavlovsk, the club now known as Kyzyl-Zhar has become a resilient symbol of regional football. The team's history is deeply intertwined with the city's industrial heritage, adopting its current name, which translates to "Red Bank," in 1990 following Kazakhstan's independence. This name change marked a new chapter, aligning the club's identity with the local landscape along the Ishim River.
