Founded in 1934 in the coastal city of Netanya, Maccabi Netanya is one of Israel's historic and storied football clubs. Established during the British Mandate period, the club was part of the broader Maccabi sports association, embodying the Zionist sporting spirit of the era. Its early years were marked by participation in regional leagues before becoming a founding member of the Israeli Premier League upon its establishment in 1949. The club's home is the Netanya Stadium, a modern 13,610-seat venue that opened in 2012, replacing the beloved but outdated Sar-Tov Stadium. This new arena, located in the city known as the "Israeli Riviera" for its Mediterranean beaches, has provided a vibrant matchday atmosphere.
