Al Bataeh

Founded in 2006, Al Bataeh rapidly rose from the lower tiers of Emirati football to earn promotion to the UAE Pro League for the 2020–21 season. The club plays its home matches at the modest Al Bataeh Stadium in the town of Al Bataeh, Sharjah, which holds just a few thousand spectators and creates an intimate atmosphere. Known for a disciplined, counter-attacking style under local management, the team has consistently punched above its weight against more established rivals. In 2023, Al Bataeh surprised many by reaching the final of the UAE President’s Cup, cementing its reputation as a determined underdog in Emirati football.
