Founded in 1969 in the capital city of Doha, Al Sadd Sports Club is the most successful and decorated football club in Qatar. Established by a group of visionary young men, the club quickly became a cornerstone of Qatari football, embodying ambition and excellence from its inception. Its name, meaning "The Dam," symbolizes strength and resilience, qualities that have defined its journey. The club's home is the iconic Jassim bin Hamad Stadium, often referred to as "Al Sadd Stadium."
