Founded in 1996 as the Dallas Burn, FC Dallas is a cornerstone of Major League Soccer's history and a model for player development in North America. The club was a charter member of MLS, playing its inaugural season at the Cotton Bowl before relocating to the specialized soccer venue now known as Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas, in 2005.
