Founded in Amsterdam in 1900, Amsterdamsche Football Club Ajax is one of the most storied and influential clubs in world football. Named after the mythological Greek hero, the club's identity is deeply intertwined with the city's progressive and creative spirit. Ajax's home is the iconic Johan Cruijff ArenA, a 55,000-capacity stadium in the Amsterdam-Zuidoost district, named in honor of their most legendary figure.
