Patriotas

Founded in 2003 in Tunja, Patriotas Boyacá quickly rose through Colombia’s lower divisions to reach Categoría Primera A by 2011. The club calls the historic Estadio La Independencia its home, a venue known for its high altitude and passionate local support. Despite being one of the league’s newer sides, Patriotas made a memorable run to the Copa Colombia final in 2014, narrowly missing out on a major trophy. Their disciplined, counter-attacking style has earned respect, though consistency has often eluded them in the top flight.
