Founded in 1912 in the coastal city of Santos, São Paulo, Santos Futebol Clube is one of Brazil's most storied and globally recognized football institutions. The club was born from the initiative of three young men—Raimundo Marques, Mário Ferraz de Campos, and Argemiro de Souza Júnior—who sought to create a team for the city's athletes.
